History

First established in 1993 by Mike Barnsley, the business started on a small scale of in the rural environment of the Taieri Plains. Since then a company has been formed and the depth of experience has covered the main centers of the Southern sector of the South Island and based mostly within the Dunedin City and Clutha District.


Personal statement

Actively involved in a wide selection of urban property with a continuing emphasis on industrial and commercial property.

Valuation and consultancy work can be very challenging. This requires a thirst to find out what makes the market tick by means of in-depth research. Often viewing a property through valuers eyes can be invaluable to the client. Mike’s experience has ranged far and wide having worked within the central North Island/Auckland area as well as Canterbury to Southland. Roles beyond property valuation and consultancy have included the management of a large portfolio of residential property including repairs and maintenance contracts and commercial agency work with leasing and property sales.

Mike is devoted to property and is currently chairman of the Otago Branch of the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and a director/deputy chairman of the Dunedin branch of Habitat for Housing New Zealand.

He has in the past also focused on the community activities having been a long-standing member of Roundtable New Zealand and past president for a local Dunedin club.
